This course was specifically about weaving with silk and wire, and although most of us had woven with silk previously, very few of us had used wire. This was an exhilarating class, both in terms of creative enjoyment and the fast pace at which we worked - we each wove off the original warps we had brought on our looms with wire and rewarped twice more, once with silk, and once with wire. We also dip-dyed the silk pieces. By the end of the week, we were less fearful of the wire, and had a wonderful display to show. Heidi was extremely generous with her knowledge and was great company. We had a blast.
