While the home brand or private label milk price war threatens smaller processors and farmers exposed to the domestic market, it has also revealed a willingness among some customers to pay a fair price for quality, branded products linked back to thefarmer. Smaller producers/processors like Country Valley Milk in NSW (AFJ, March 2011) and Jonesy's Dairy Fresh in Victoria have developed their own supply chains to cater for the growing demand for fresh produce with identifiable origins.
