OBE consolidates as world's leading organic beef meal producer

In the past five years the Organic Beef Export Company, now OBE Beef and OBE Lamb, has matured as a business and consolidated its domestic and export markets. CEO of the company, Simone Tully, says its strong growth in difficult economic times is dueprimarily to its family business approach. "We market product for 32 suppliers, all of whom are second-, third- or fourth-generation pastoralists," Tully says. "All of us are encouraging our children to stay involved in agriculture and so are building our own businesses to help achieve that. As a result, OBE does whatever it can to help our suppliers grow their businesses and overcome any hurdles."
