Checklist for canola success

After a run of dry years, many growers have lost confidence in growing canola. But before we throw the baby out with the bath water, a few strategies can take much of the risk out of growing the crop, including knowing when not to grow it. The keys to lower risk and more profitable canola growing this year will be sowing on time, sufficient subsoil moisture in medium-or low-rainfall environments, close crop monitoring and managing production costs while optimising yields.
