The increased productivity approach advocated by many agricultural advisors as the means to improve profitability came under question at the recent Carbon Farming forum in Armidale, New South Wales. Its short comings were described by Boorowa, NSW Merino sheep farmer David Marsh. His views were backed by some extraordinary changes taking place on his own 813 hectare property 'Allendale' since switching from high input practice to holistic management in 1999.
