IN AN innovative attempt to cut time and costs a former Lindenow vegetable grower has shown that rearing calves can take as little as forty minutes a day. It's also a lifestyle choice for Kevin Hine who says it's not just about making money but beingpassionate about what you do and making time available to enjoy life. After moving to Luby's Lane in 1974 to have a guaranteed water supply he, and his wife Glenda, gave up 28 years of growing vegetables over three years ago when they realised their lives were being dominated by work, work and more work. From employing up to 20 casual workers at a time, doing all the books and battling with the dynamics of marketing vegetables on both domestic and export markets they decided that there must be more to life.
