NEW WINTER crop prospects will dominate old crop domestic pricing through October for all cropping areas. Conditions for the incoming crops vary, so the local pricings and price forecasts differ with the crop conditions. For the major crop, wheat, there is a softening of the domestic market which has been in train for about three months. Prices for new crop wheat on export markets are estimated to be lower than the 2003-04 crop. Most of the wheat is exported thus the domestic wheat price is set around the export prices converted back to domestic geographic locations.
