When most people think of racked tractors they think of Caterpillar - or at least that used to be the case, Since the release of the Caterpillar rubber tracked Challenger range of tractors a few years ago, two other majors players in the tractor world, namely Case Corporation and John Deere Limited, have released rubber tracked models under their own name brands. If the industry grape vine is correct, then it won't be too much longer before we see a whole new range of rubber tracked tractors on themarket here. Caterpillar built its reputation on its famous steel track arrangement and its joy stick control for steering. The company has dominated the market in the construction and industrial arenas for years and to a lesser degree in the areas of agricultural land clearing and very rough working situations.
