Component-based software development for automating technical products

摘要

Variants of technical products often need individual control programs which are quite similar to each other. These similarities are especially obvious if the programs belong to the same automation domain. Object-oriented frameworks, being a special case of component-based software development, encapsulate these domain's common features and offer a skeleton for new applications without the necessity of permanently developing similar structures and functionality over and over again. This contribution presents a framework for the marking machine domain and shows how different control application can be built with the help of a standardized software architecture.
