摘要

Because of the demands far cast reduction in process industries and the growing computing power of standard automation systems, advanced control methods are further spreaching. The present paper describes the design of a multivariable controllerand the exemplary application to a rectification column. The focus of the paper lies on the function of the controller, but important practical aspects are discussed as well. Additionally a new development environment for advanced control in the processcontrol system TELEPERM M by Siemens is presented. It was very useful to test the multivariable controller.
