In 1999 a group of environmentally conscious beef cattle and lamb producers In Gippsland Victoria formed a co-operative to market red meat produced in a pasture based system with environmental credentials other than organic certification. Ten years later the co-operative was wound up and a new private company formed to undertake the task or producing and marketing their beef cattle and lambs. Jilllan Staton spoke to the new owners to find out If the new structure will make a difference.
