JOHN Gunthorpe says the fortunes of Australia's underachieving agribusiness industry would be reversed if it adopted a vision for its future. Gunthorpe, the president of the Agribusiness Association of Australia and New Zealand, wants the industry toadopt the vision announced at his association's 1995 conference at Orange, NSW, by the group managing director of Wool-worths Ltd, Reg Glairs. Glairs urged Australia agribusiness to become a dominant world supplier of food by the year 2020.
