Technology adoption is new IWS research focus

PRODUCTIVITY for the average woolgrower could be increased by 50% if currently available technology was used. This finding was revealed in the recent International Wool Secretariat (IWS) technical strategy report, pie-pared by the Centre for International Economics. In a bid to raise the collective wealth of woolgrowers, the IWS has responded by shifting the research and development focus to technology adoption. A major step in this direction has "been the recent formation of a five-person technology adoption team. Part of its role will be to package technology into a relevant, usable form that encourages implementation at the farm. The manager of the team is Neil Evans.
