MAGGIE Beer - well-known as one of the finest chefs and restaurateurs in Australia - is enjoying new success with a range of home-made products that sell throughout Australia and have found an export market in Japan. Maggie, who had run the Pheasant Farm Restaurant in South Australia's Barossa Valley for 15 years, originally came from Sydney. She describes herself as "a city girl who went to live in the country." She and her husband, Colin, are farmers who have been breeding pheasants for 20 years.
