Swing to no-till at Croppa Creek

THE LONG term benefits of no-till farming are encouraging northern New South Wales grain growers, Greg and Judi Mooney, to join the conservation farming trend. The Mooneys are taking a 50/50 approach to the adoption of conservation farming on their 2000-hectare Croppa Creek farm, Kioma, by running a mix of no-till and conventional tillage practices. But Mooney says the long term benefits of no-till will see a steady increase in the area of country direct drilled to crops.
