摘要

WHILE modern-day tree management programs tend to focus on new plantings of young healthy trees, Cameron Archer believes it is just as important to preserve the old, and even dead, trees on a farm. Archer is principal of Tocal Agricultural College atPaterson, north-west of Newcastle, in NSW. He has a longstanding interest in the environment and pays close attention to maintaining the ecological assets of the College's farms.
