? 2022 Elsevier LtdAcrylic glass is a typical viscoelastic material with creep effect. The creep of the material will lead to the creep deformation of the structure which will have a significant impact on the long-term stability of the underwater pressure hull. The creep constitutive model of acrylic glass was obtained by creep test. The ultimate bearing test of large acrylic cylindrical shell was carried out, and the buckling mode and ultimate bearing pressure of acrylic cylindrical shell were obtained. Based on the creep constitutive model, the creep buckling analysis of acrylic pressure vessel was further used for durability evaluation. The finite element simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results, which verifies the accuracy of the finite element analysis method of acrylic pressure-resistant cylindrical shell. Furthermore, the influence of structural geometric parameters on the stability of acrylic pressure cylindrical shell was analyzed. It is concluded that the larger the relative thickness t/D and the smaller the relative length L/D is, the smaller the nonlinear critical buckling load is.
