WINEMAKING and viticulture students at Nuriootpa High School in South Australia's Barossa Valley will this month launch their 1996 vintage -five 300-litre hogsheads of shiraz and two 225-litre barriques of chardonnay - under their Nurihannam label. These will be wines of some repute. Last year the school won two silver and four bronze medals at the National Amateur Wine and Beer Show at McLaren Vale in SA's Southern Vales along with an award for the best wine produced by a school in Australia.
