摘要

An integrated approach to the design of a high-speed logical structure for a finite state automaton on the basis formed by programmable logic devices is proposed. The method consists in the simultaneous solution of local state coding problems and the design of the combinational part of the automaton in the form of the disjunctive normal form of a system of Boolean functions. The number of disjunctive terms in each function is bounded by a specified number. The process of encoding the complete states of the automaton by means of partially determined data sets of values of the input and internal variables is considered.
