The September 2021 import total, at 34,741 tons, was right on the license number from last month. October licenses are up to 44,950 tons. The November forecast, with 11 of 21 days included, is back down to 38,947 tons which is nearly right on the YTD average. The top import item for September 2021 was welded, carbon, square or rect., with wall over 0.156” at 31,039 tons. The price was $2,026/ton. This is up another $58/ton for the month and $520/ton over the last 4 months.
