摘要

While visiting Ireland last May, Daniel Stazicker was intrigued to find this Alexander RH-bodied Leyland Olympian dwarfed by the wingless remains of a Boeing 767-200 airliner in a field at Enniscrone, Co. Sligo. Former Lothian 882 (K882 CSF), new in 1993 towards the end of production of the last Leyland-badged bus, has been re-registered in Co. Donegal as 93 DL 5581. The Boeing came from the fleet of Transaero, a Russian airline that ceased trading in 2015. Together with a tank, black taxis, the carriage of a former British Rail Southern Region electric multiple unit, a helicopter and a yacht, the plan is to convert them into luxury accommodation in what developer David McGowan, a funeral director, is calling Quirky Nights damping Village. The aircraft, which is the intended centrepiece of the development, cost him €20,000 (£17,600) to buy and he estimates that the entire development will cost €4.5million (£4million). He's seeking an investor to realise his dream.
