Construction of Oman’s Duqm refnery progresses

Oman’s OQ8 has started up the frst boiler at the country’s new 230,000 b/d Duqm refnery. The milestone indicates progress on construction work at the refnery, which OQ8 now estimates to be almost 92pc com- plete. In March it said the project was 90pc complete. Boilers are used to generate heat and steam for powering refneries.
