Endurance III:Fodico's newest fleet addition destined to become its flagship

With extensive experience transporting cargo of all types from Gladstone to islands and remote locations throughout Australia, Fodico has infused significant company experience into the planning, design and delivery of its newest and largest landing barge, the 50-metre 'Endurance III'.More akin to a RoPax than a landing barge, the 49.95-metre x 13.8-metre x 2.5-metre 'Endurance III' is optimised for high-standard day accommodation for up to 50 passengers inshore or 12 passengers in coastal regions.Named as a tribute to Sir Ernest Shackleton and the 1913 Antarctic Expedition ship 'Endurance', the vessel incorporates everything Fodico has learned in its 15 years of operating six other landing craft. Designed by Perth-based naval architect International Maritime Consultants and constructed by Malaysian shipyard Piausau Slipways after exhaustive research of Asian and Australasian yards, the vessel emphasises economy and loading/unloading efficiency over transit speed.
