European business aviation flight activity fell by 62% in May 2020, following the implementation of restrictions in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Other regions suffered similar, significant declines, as global air travel came to a halt. Just under two years later, by the start of this year, activity was higher than in 2019, the last full year before the impact of COVID-19 registered, not only in Europe but in most regions. Business aviation, along with air cargo, has emerged from the worst of the pandemic in better shape than at its outset. Demand for new and used aircraft is high, as is flight activity by the installed fleet. New models continued to be developed or have been announced.
