Dow Chemical, X-energy to collaborate on SMR nuclear development

Dow Chemical and X-energy have signed a letter of intent to pursuedevelopment of small modular reactors for deployment at some Dowplants, the companies said Aug. 9.Dow and X-energy, in a joint statement, said they would collaborateto deploy X-energy’s Xe-100 high-temperature gas reactor technologyat one of Dow’s US Gulf Coast sites and expect it to be operational byapproximately 2030.
