Circa Marine of Whangarei, New Zealand has recently launched this smart water taxi for Crossings Hokianga, a new service in the remote Hokianga area of northern New Zealand. They offer tours around the many sights on the harbour, as well general taxiservices. The operators were looking for a vessel that looked distinctive, could seat at least 30 passengers and be cost-efficient with smaller groups. The remoteness of the area meant that reliability was also a high priority. Naiad, the designer of the vessel, worked with the Crossings team to develop a custom layout based on their 11.3-metre stepped hull, used by a variety of commercial and tourism operators.
