'Typhoon Clipper': Aimtek designed Australian clippers take the Thames by storm

'Typhoon Clipper' was the first of a series of Australian-designed and made catamarans to be delivered to Thames Clippers, London (a subsidiary of Collins River Enterprises). Sister vessels still in the process of delivery include the 'Tornado Clipper', 'Cyclone Clipper', 'Monsoon Clipper', 'Meteor Clipper' and 'Aurora Clipper', completing the six-vessel order. These ultra-low wash ferries were designed by Aimtek in Australia and built by BSC Marine, Australia. They will be utilised on runs from citypiers to the 02 Dome entertainment and sports complex at Greenwich. These vessels will bring Thames Clipper's fleet of River Runners to nine vessels including the NQEA-built River Runner ISOMkll ferries, 'Sun Clipper' and 'Moon Clipper' and the sister ship to the Brisbane Shipping Company (BSC)-built vessels, 'Hurricane Clipper'.
