Norman Wright and Sons has delivered one of its latest generation of pilot boats to Darwin Ports. 'Delirra' is the newest 15-metre vessel from the yard, and is the second Norman Wright pilot boat for Darwin Ports.An R&D program including extensive tank testing at the Australian Maritime College has resulted in the development of a vessel with impressive performance and sea-keeping, leading to reduced fatigue on crew and pilots. The resulting hull form features awave cleaving plumb bow with long fine entry matched with propeller recessing tunnels aft.
