A New Zealand shipyard has delivered a 24-metre, South Australian designed inshore trawler to a local owner as part of the first renewal program of New Zealand's fishing fleet since the 1970s.Designed by OceanTech of Adelaide specifically for New Zealand conditions, 'Santy Maria' will be the first of several boats that Aimex Service Group of Nelson hopes to build for the local fishing industry.
