Hot on the heels of the successful delivery of two ORC pilot boats for the Port Phillip Sea Pilots, Hart Marine has sent a sister ship across Bass Strait for operation out of the Tamar River on the north coast of Tasmania.Located at Bell Bay, Tasports will use their new Pantocarene-designed vessel to assist with guiding vessels safely up the Tamar River. Famously claiming the 'Iron Baron' ore carrier in 1995, the treacherous reefs around the mouth of the river have been aconcern for visiting ships since the area was first settled and local pilots work tirelessly to bring vessels through in one piece.
