Mick Tabone owns and operates the Johnstone River Crocodile Farm in Innisfail, North Queensland. Prior to that, he was a professional fisherman for thirty years and operated a small processing and wholesale business as well. As a fisherman he developed a comprehensive knowledge of and respect for the fish he hunted and the environment they lived in and has applied much of that understanding to crocodiles. Like many of his peers, Mick now questions the direction in which fishing and aquaculture are heading, indeed the way of life and the very future of all primary industries in this country.
