Further notes on the genus Naarda Walker, 1866 of Taiwan with description of a new species (Lepidoptera, Erebidae, Hypeninae)

The hypenine genus Naarda Walker, 1866 comprises rather small, greyish species ranging from the Oriental and African regions. This genus has been re-defined and its diversity has been evaluated recently by Tóth and Ronkay (2014a, b, 2015a, b, c) and Tóth (2019). Based on these studies and the subsequent work of Fu et al. (2021), totally 13 species in this East Asian mountain island, Taiwan, are recorded. The present study aims to remark some taxonomic issues that did not mention or document clearly in the previous studies, record newly examined specimens of the congeneric Taiwanese species that are externally similar and should be identified through genitalia examination, describe one new species, Naarda hsuhonglini sp. nov., inhabiting in rather higher mountain region of Taiwan and revive the Japanese N. pectinata Sugi, 1982 (stat. rev.).
