摘要

A k-unit parallel system with component lifetime distribution to be Gumbel is considered. Based on progressively Type-II censored sample, the maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) of the parameter and reliability function of the system is obtained. The expression for Fisher's information is derived. Based on the asymptotic distribution of maximum likelihood estimator (MLE), confidence intervals (CI) for parameter and reliability function are constructed. Asymptotic CI for parameter based on the log-transformed MLE is also constructed. Simulation study is conducted to investigate the performance of the MLE and confidence intervals.
