Alpek Completes Purchase of Octal

Monterrey—Alpek Polyester has finalized the acquisition of Octal Holding SAOC for $620-million on a debt-free basis. Octal produces polyethylene terephthalate (PET) sheet, resin and packaging for the rigid plastic packaging market.
