ERCOT forecast peakload records June 23-24; renewable output mitigates price risk

Amid continuing triple-digit high temperatures across Texas, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas forecast record peakloads for June 23-24, the pricing for which may be mitigated by continued strong renewable output. ERCOT said it expects to have sufficient capacity to meet demand.
