?A brief power outage afecting a compressor in a fuid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit resulted in increased faring this week at ExxonMobil's 362,000 b/d refnery in Beaumont, Tex-as. The outage was reported at 2:20pm ET on 28 November, with faring lasting for just over an hour before the compres-sor was reset and normal operations resumed, according to a fling to state environmental monitors. FCCs convert vacuum gasoil primarily to gasoline blendstocks.
