Niche Marine: Efficiency and meticulous attention to detail in aluminium vessel building

Niche Marine has been building aluminium vessels in Fremantle for six years but founder and managing director Rob Clayton has been in the business for 25 years longer, his experience involving some of Western Australia's marine industry luminaries, including Austal, Oceanfast and Razerline. Based in the suburb of North Fremantle, Niche's workshop has a favourable location among the environs of Northport Marine Services. This location provides all the facilities a major builder requires without the associated overheads, such as the use of 60T and 200T travel lifts and heavy machinery and the local presence of much of the Perth marine trade.
