In 2016,1 signed up for the TCIA men-torship program. With four employ-ees, one truck and a chipper, we had hit our revenue ceiling at just under $500,000. I felt stuck and was craving some guidance. After a few email exchanges with TCIA, I was pairedwith Peter Sortwell, founder and CEO of Arborwell, an accredited, 24-year TCIA member company based in Hayward, California (now a SavATree company), and TCIA Board chair at that time. He and I scheduled an hour-long phone conversation. I didn't know itat the time, but this was the beginning of a very exciting new chapter in my life.
