Australia Marine Services, perhaps better known as AMS Tugs and Barges, is one of a growing number of entries to the North-West Shelf oil and gas support industry. It is a rapidly expanding industry, but AMS is probably expanding faster. The current focus is largely on servicing the north-west, but AMS has always been active throughout Australasia-Oceania with a presence in other overseas markets, especially the Far East, where it has several vessels on long-term charter.
