Oil-field services firm Nabors said Wednesday that rig demand in the US lower 48 states remains strong despite rising costs. The company reported that about two-thirds of its lower 48-rig fleet - just over 60 rigs - were repriced in the fourth quarter of 2022,pushing its dayrate average for the period to about $32,000. "As a result, daily rig revenue increased by more than $3,500," said CEO Anthony Petrello in a press release. "Almost all of that increase flowed through to daily gross margin ... to $14,600, an all-time high."
