New York-listed players Golar LNG and New Fortress Energy have teamed up to exploit gas discoveries offshore Equatorial Guinea via a floating liquefied natural gas vessel, with a key engineering, procurement and construction contract to be awarded imminently. Multiple sources told Upstream that Golar is set to award an EPC contract within days to a shipyard to convert a tanker into an FLNG vessel.
