Most definitions of and references to organizational excellence include the key components to accomplish or claim excellence, but not everyone realizes that excellence starts with the intention to achieve excellence. It is true that the intention may be initiated in any part of the organization, but it is also true that if leadership has no intention of achieving excellence, it simply will not happen.
