Consolidated Minerals reports doubled profit

Manganese producer Consolidated Minerals (CML) has announced 100 percent profit increase for the December 2000 half-year. The result according to the company, comes from an excellent sales performance for the period, enhanced by increased world manganese prices and tight cost control.The independent Perth-based company has also announced an on-market share buy-back for up to 5 percent of its issued capital as a means of adding value to investors.
