The January 2022 import volume was 178,898 tons which is below the license total published last month by around 12. It is possible to wait to pull a license until the product is waiting to be unloaded so port delays and other logistics issues may be delaying the paperwork. The February licenses indicate a slight drop to 173,188 tons. The March forecast, given 10 of 23 days, indicates a huge move up to 394,000 tons but licensing seems to be running early this month.
