French Yak-3 completes pre-flight engine tests

Yakovlev Yak-3 F-AYAK fired up its V-12 Allison powerplant at Blois-Le Breuil airfield in Loir-et-Cher, France, on September 26. The aircraft, owned by Frederic Olivier and Paul Vezard, may have flown by the time these words are read. One of three Yaks newly-built in Texas by Jean-Marie Garric, it represents the 15th IAP fighter flown by Russian ace Sitkovskiy Aleksandr Nikolayevich .
