A three year, $9m research program called Wealth From Waste - involving the CSIRO and five university partners - is looking at how Australia can play a bigger role in metals recycling. AJM's Charles Macdonald spoke to Damien Ciurco of University Technology Sydney (UTS) about the program. SCANDINAVIAN COMPANY Boliden is a rare beast and one that does not exist in Australia. Headquartered in Stockholm, and employing 4,800 people, the mid-sized company operates a number of substantial mines, such as Aitik and Garpenburg in Sweden and Tara in Ireland. These operations are well known to the international mining industry.
