Blackwater takes Australia's first Komatsu 930E trucks

THE TRUCKS are fitted with the latest design DT Hi-Load lightweight bodies. These achieve their strength and light weight through a combination of curved surfaces (inherently stronger than angled surfaces, which require support) and high-strength material. Conventional dump truck bodies for the 930Es weigh around 40 tonnes, while the DT Hi-Loads weigh only 27.5 tonnes. Payload capacity of the 930E-2s is in excess of 300 tonnes.
