Application of twin-shaft batch mixers for dry mineral materials

Thanks to its short mixing times and high mixing efficiency, the mixing principle of the twin-shaft mixer has become established worldwide for the production of fresh concrete. Compared to single-shaft mixers, however, this mixing principle also offers significant advantages for the production of dry materials, such as dry mortar and cement. BHS-Sonthofen has further de eloped the twin-shaft mixer, making it particularly effective for dry blending. The operation of the twin-shaft mixer for blending dry materials and an application at a dry mortar plant in Greece are described.
