Industrial water consumption is touching figures about 40 billion cubic meter per year in India Sugar industry generates huge quantity of water during the process as by product. The surplus water generated in evaporation process is termed as condensate, contains lot of organic acid condensable gases which in turn causes poor quality condensate formation. Hence it becomes more evident to utilize existing water resources available with in the Sugar Complex. The excess condensate water which is available abundantly can very easily utilized with proper treatment program. Earlier treatment programs which are based on traditional Biocidal programs are not adequate. Due to multiple advantages of Chlorine Dioxide, vapor condensate can be utilized effectively.
