Thrilled by a note of Mouton & Mouton (2021) in MSG who reported a finding of a single plant at the presumed type locality of Gebser’s Lithops at a remote farm south of Maltahohe, I arranged a visit in April 2022. The same farm worker who had discovered the first individual at the end of 2020 detected a second plant a few days before! Accompanied by my good friend who owns the farm I was glad to photograph both survivors. During two days of extended screening of the locality including the vicinity with up to seven people no other plant could be detected although the conditions were perfect following good rain resulting in metre-high grass.
